Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga: tues and thurs 930am, 1 hour 15 minute class, all are welcome for this challenging but
modifiable class, focusing on grounding our bodies to the earth and pulling energy up though our deep core line to create strength, balance, flexibility, and focused awareness. Working from the center out, this physical practice will manifest in non physical ways off the mat with a centered mind, and a knowing of who we really are at the core, so who we are not can naturally fall away. 10 participant max to insure individual attention from the teacher.
Gentle Yoga: Monday and Thursday 11 am, 1 hour 15 minutes, appropriate for all levels, from post surgery, to athletes looking for injury prevention and a training counterpoint. We start off in a chair, and move to standing poses then delicious relaxation, using props and a variety of training modalities to complement the yoga, including bosu balance trainers, massage balls, and pilates equipment. No more than 10 participants per class ensures safety and individually modified postures. We focus on coming back to our bodies and loving them exactly how they are right now in the present moment, while developing strength, balance, and flexibility to make our lives off the mat focused not on pain, but on our spirits, family, and what we truly love in life.
All classes are taught in the style of Vinyasa by Alee Morrison (trained and certified in NYC). Her classes focus
on uniting the mind and body through the power of the breath throughout a series of postures that flow together beautifully and will enhance one's strength, flexibility, balance, and ability to relax. Appropriate for all levels. Please call or email for more info.
