Iyengar, his children Geeta and Prashant, and his senior certified teachers. We feel this method of yoga provides us with the best tools available for providing an authentic, powerful, and transformative experience of yoga for our students. Our studio director, Chris Briney, has successfully completed the rigorous apprenticeship and testing process to become a certified Iyengar Yoga instructor, and is registered with the National Iyengar Yoga Association of the United States (IYNAUS). StrongHeart Yoga is a new studio dedicated to the practice of yoga, the first of it's kind in Warren. Until now, yoga
students in Warren have shared spaces or found themselves traveling to other communities to discover the practice. StrongHeart Yoga is committed to providing yoga with a room of it's own in the neighborhood. Our goal is to create a warm and inviting space that will nurture both practiced students and those completely new to yoga. And we hope to be a valuable addition to the community; a place where people can come together on a path to greater wellness and well-being.

Yoga is effective as a supportive adjunct to mitigate some mental health conditions, but not yet a proven stand-alone,
curative treatment. This is why we implement CBT and Positive Psychology as a larger-scale and more rigorous intervention. Talk and yoga therapy combined has the potential to be implemented as a beneficial supportive/adjunct treatment that is relatively cost-effective. These can be practiced at least in part as a self-care behavioral treatment providing life-long behavioral skills, enhanceing self-efficacy and self-confidence. It is often associated with additional positive side effects.
