Currently Maryam leads intermediate vigorous and nurturing yoga classes in White Plains, with focus on the breath and
alignment. She encourages the students to approach their practice with a sense of play, mindfulness and lack of judgment. The classes are during lunch time and last about 1 hour and fifteen minutes (walk in price - $12). Private classes can also be arranged.
Maryam is a certified yoga instructor from Om Yoga Center in NYC, and has received teacher training from various master teachers. She leads international yoga retreats (in Costa Rica, Mexico and elsewhere).
A Vinyasa style dynamic flow class, which uses 'breath to movement' to integrate the mind/ body connection. This intensified
practice builds strength through Sun Salutations, standing postures, arm balances, core strengthening and includes backbends, hip openers, as well as inversions. We promote fearless flexibility, functional core strength, focused breathing, balance & counterbalance, emotional intelligence, mental edge agility, relaxation and recovery.
