We offer about 12-15 drop-in yoga classes each week: gentle, moderate & challenging. Classes are $12 or buy class passes to bring the price down. Discounts for seniors 60+ and full-time students. In addition, we offer special series such as prenatal yoga, Yoga Babies, Yoga Kids, Gentle Chair Yoga, meditation, chanting, and topical workshops. We have Pilates and a personal strength trainer who teaches small group classes. All teachers are certified at or above the 200-hour level and are trained in therapeutic yoga. HATHA YOGA Emily Gareis draws from a variety of styles to teach Hatha Yoga. She emphasizes breath, relaxation, balance, flexibility and strength. The yoga sessions are designed to make accommodations for the individual. You will learn to integrate yoga into your daily activities, improve your alignment and reduce pain and cranky joints. No experience is required for Hatha Yoga. The classes appx 45 min to an hour and end in meditation.
YOGA IN A CHAIR Yoga in a Chair is designed to allow almost anyone to participate in a very gentle form of Yoga. It works the joints and muscles to increase flexibility, strength, balance, and circulation. It goes beyond typical exercises in that it encourages quiet reflection, proper breathing, and better posture. The benefits of this program are remarkable. Students report reduced blood pressure, faster recovery from injury or surgery, better sleep, increased mobility, improved posture and some students have eve n gained height. Classes are 45 min to an hour long. (Seniors or for those with limited disabilities)

Emily A. Gareis has been practicing Yoga for over thirty years. She received her national certification through Bhumis Yoga & Wellness Center, a nationally recognized school of Yoga in 1997. She also is a Certified Chair Yoga Instructor through the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and Liz Franklin's Yoga in Chairs. She continually expands her knowledge of yoga and natural health and wellness by attending seminars and workshops throughout the country as well as teaching.
