YOGA EXERCISE: We teach Classical Hatha Yoga, a gentle, non-competitive style of yoga, suitable for all ages and abilities, including those with injuries and other limitations. Our classes are small, allowing individual attention. Teacher has 30 years' experience teaching yoga and meditation and is registered with Yoga Alliance as E-RYT at the 500 level.

Adult yoga classes: Mondays 12:00-1:30pm and Fridays 6:30-8:00pm. $10 per class. Call or email for directions (NW Austin). RSVP a day ahead.

Children's yoga (ages 4-9): Every other Saturday 1:00-2:00pm. Teen yoga (ages 10-17): Class can be formed anytime with at least 2 students. Call or email for directions (NW Austin) and class dates. $10 per class (sibling discount available; parents are free). RSVP a day ahead.

YOGA MEDITATION & PHILOSOPHY CLASSES: Introductory class for adults and teens (15+) the second Tuesday of the month, 7:00-9:00pm, and the last Sunday of the month, 2:00-4:00pm. For children & teens (ages 5-15), the last Sunday of the month, 4:30-5:30pm, or by appointment. Continuing meditation classes for adults and teens on Wednesdays and Sundays, 7:00-8:30pm. Yoga, the original technology of transformation, gives us the means to take care of the bodily form that comes from living in space. Jyotish, the science of astrology from ancient India, instructs us how to navigate the cycles of time we must now understand. This is the role of Astrology in the practice of Yoga. To understand our basic nature and our life purpose, to realize the gifts and challenges we bring into this journey, and to align ourselves with the cosmic cycles of time to help us move forward.

On the spiritual journey, Yoga provides the seeker with the answers to “How” and “What” while Astrology reveals “When” and “Why.”

Yoga provides the tools of asana, pranayama, mudra, mantra and meditation and teaches us how to use them. Astrology allows us to understand the karma and the dharma that brought us into this existence and how to interact with our past, present and future.

The great Yogis used astrology as a method to determine the most effective yoga practices for an individual according to their karmic conditions and how to adapt the practices to the cycles of time. Astrology provides the Yogi with a method to understand and appreciate the unique challenges and opportunities that the cycles of time bring us, as well as providing the yoga practitioner and teacher with a diagnostic tool to determine the most effective practices. More importantly, astrology can reveal the karmic issues to be addressed through the yoga practice.
