Particular attention is given to core strengthening (including pelvic floor!), posture and stretches to improve flexibility. Classes can be modified to accommodate individual needs, with support and guidance readily available. Ideal for those looking for a gentler paced class to Power Yoga but still looking for a challenge. All abilities welcome.
Pregnancy Yoga - these classes are designed with both mum and baby in mind, combining pregnancy yoga with breathing awareness, relaxation and time to focus on baby. Postures are specifically tailored to the needs of the group (including those with specific needs - backache, PGP, limited mobility, etc.) to support mums as their babies grow and bodies adapt. A chance to focus on you and baby, unwind and prepare for baby's arrival, whatever birth you're planning (including twins, caesarean, etc.) Classes are small and friendly. Come and join us :)
Postnatal Yoga - small, friendly classes specifically for postnatal mums up to one year after birth. The class focuses on supporting the body's recovery after birth by concentrating on key areas that may need a little extra TLC - core, pelvic floor, back and posture, as well as incorporating time to breath, relax and stretch away the general stiffness and aches and pains of motherhood. Bookable in blocks of 6. Non mobile babies are very welcome.
