Barbara teaches yoga classes, one-to-one lessons and yoga therapy in the Amersham area, including The Orchard Clinic
in Amersham and The Bagnall Centre in Chesham. She holds a British Wheel of Yoga diploma and is a registered Teacher with the Association for Yoga Studies (aYs)- for viniyoga. Viniyoga emphasises the co-ordination of movement and breath in postures and appropriate individual adaptation. Barbara is a registered Yoga Therapist with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council and teaches Yoga for Healthy Lower Back classes which are specifically for low back pain. She started practising yoga in 1984 and teaching yoga in 1997.

Hatha Yoga classes for strength, flexibility, energy and relaxation. Tuesday 1900-2015 and Wednesdays 1930-2045 with
experienced British Wheel of Yoga teacher Linda Rafferty. Having studied with a wide range of highly skilled practitioners in the UK and Canada, my classes will give you guidance on practising deeply and safely. A range of vinyasa flow sequences and asanas (variations given)are blended with pranayama. Classes will invigorate, energise and leave you feeling relaxed and ready for a great night's sleep. Core and back strength, opening and stretching, effective use of the breath in postures are all explored. Trial a class for £5.

I have always
felt there was something bigger, more meaningful to explore. I wandered into an Anusara class because it fitted my schedule and it blew me away. Since then I haven't looked back, embracing each new experience open to me and opening myself up to new possibilities.
My life has completely changed since I started on this path and I offer special thanks to every soul who came along just when I needed them. I have completed over 700 hours of training (and counting!) with an incredible array of awe-inspiring teachers: Ross Rayburn, Bridget-Woods Kramer, Jayendra Hanley, Zhenja La Rosa... I've just embarded on my RYT500 advanced teacher training with Chris Chavez. So day is an adventure, to discover and rediscover. Life is a crazy adventure and the excitement is in living it in every moment.
When you walk into my class my intention is to help you see that they are an integral part of this amazing world and a vital piece of something big, extraordinary and amazing, part of something that you never knew existed and yet always knew was there and to make the feel even more you feel you more than you ever knew you could. Having difficulties finding the right class at a time and place that suit you? -Learn yoga in a personal setting where we can work at your own pace to allow you to discover the joys and benefits it can bring to you. Sessions can be arranged at a time to suit you, either at your home or mine. Share a session with a couple of your friends. Group tuition can also be arranged for businesses, schools, community groups etc.
I am a freelance yoga instructor teaching in the local area group, private 1:2:1 and corporate classes. Most of my
classes are at Hot Zen Yoga, Bushey and Virgin Active, Northwood.
My teaching style is to guide people on a journey through the exploration of different asana’s, allowing people to free their mind as their body twists and stretches to the sound of Balearic beats. I encourage people to give things a go, practice with a smile and simply let the breath be their guide.
Yoga Course "Connect to Your True Self", £40.
The goal for these course is to give you tools and understanding on
how to use asanas, pranajama (breathing) and meditation in your daily practice. The class suitable for beginners and current yoga practitioners who wants to have a gentler session, focusing on Meditation and Pranajma. Every class has a slightly different composition and focus, and is a fusion of Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga. By the end of the course you will feel confident enough to start your practice. Always welcome to come back for the next course as it never the same due to various student energy.
