YogaBellies for Pregnancy and YogaBellies for Mum & Baby
YogaBellies for Pregnancy classes are gentle and safe
for all women, whether new to yoga or with years of practice. Each class focuses on a different aspect of pregnancy and birth. This is more than just a yoga class, but also training in deep relaxation and preparation for birth and motherhood. We practice yoga postures suitable for pregnancy and birth, adjusted for each trimester, invaluable breathing techniques for pregnancy and birth and also relaxation and meditation techniques that mum can also use once baby arrives. This is so much more than a prenatal yoga class, but an opportunity to prepare mindfully for birth and meet like-minded mums.
Classes: Mondays & Wednesdays 6.30pm-8pm at Lotus Yoga Studio Pre-booking only as spaces are limited to 10
YogaBellies for Mum & Baby classes are a unique blend of post natal and baby yoga. A typical class includes baby stretches to take small bodies through a full range of movement which often astonishes and inspires their mummies including incorporating baby massage, breathing and focused yoga postures for mums and postures for two to give mums and babies new ways to relate to each other. For mummies we focus on gently working the abdominal muscles, slowly getting mummy back to pre-baby shape and helping to build strength, stamina and fitness.
Classes: Tuesdays 10am-11.30am at Lotus Yoga Studio Pre-book only as spaces limited to 10

Through an inspiring
series of flowing yoga movements, upliftling music, breath rhythms, chants and guided meditations, we take a journey of self exploration into the movement and stillness of our being. Suitable for beginners through to experienced practitioners. Richard Parker has been practicing and teaching movement and meditation for over 10 years. His focus is on exploring and discovering a practice that is organic, evolving as the practice evolves us. Using a grounded and easy going approach he brings a simple understanding of the fundamental wisdoms that are taught within yoga into our practice so we can begin to realise and awaken to our true nature.
"Yoga is an amazing and deeply nourishing approach to holistic health and wellbeing. It creates the space, feeling and energy within us to be present and peaceful with whom we are and bring us back to our natural & authentic nature. It simply relaxes us into the energy and flow of life.?"
"The benefit is simple, when energy is stuck in our bodies and not easily flowing through us it can often be felt as tension both physically and mentally, and potentially leads to sickness, poor health and a feeling of unhappiness. Through Yoga we release the tension or resistance in the body mind and enhance the natural flow of energy. This has an effect of calming the mind, expanding our awareness and deepening our connection to the authentic, peaceful and loving nature within us."
I have trained with the Yoga Training Centre in London (500 hours, British Wheel of Yoga Teacher Training Level 4 Certificate),which
includes modules on philosophy and meditation. My classes are integrative of the whole spectrum of Yoga, including asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing practice), relaxation and meditation. All my classes in Southampton (Highfield and Basset), and also in Fareham, have an underlying philosophical theme, which is the essence of Yoga. My classes can be booked in groups of 5 sessions, or on a drop in basis. I also offer one to one tuition.
