Jill Amison is a yoga teacher & yoga therapist currently based in Staffordshire.
Since becoming certified as a yoga
teacher at The Expanding Light Center in 2002, Jill has been encouraging others to realise their full potential through yoga. Teaching vinyasa flow Jill uses small steps to work towards a peak pose, choosing a path that suits the needs & the abilities of the students she's working with. Her teaching style emphasises energetic & postural alignment, yogic philosophy & inspiring confidence to listen, respond & move from one's own centre of truth. Jill is privileged to study with many inspirational teachers including Shiva Rea. She holds a BWY Diploma after completing further teacher training with Yoga Campus & is registered at 500hr Teacher Training with the Yoga Alliance. Having qualified as a yoga therapist, with the Yoga Biomedical Trust & The Life Center, Jill has witnessed the healing benefits of yoga. She has gained experience in using traditional yoga practices to assist in the healing process & pain management of a large variety of ailments & conditions. Jill is a registered Yoga Therapist with the CNHC - the Compimentary & Natural Health Care Council. Jill is passionate about promoting healing, vitality & wellbeing through yoga.

Children's classes from aged 2 and up We Take Children on a yoga journey using yoga games, music, and storytelling, building strength flexibility, calm and self esteem Mamashakti pregnancy yoga offers a nourishing yoga practice for mums to be to help ease them through pregnancy to birth and then follow these classes by building your strength back gently and bonding with baby at mum and baby class
Dynamic and Hatha Yoga are taught in the same style – a cool flowing yoga routine. The great thing about learning
a routine is that after you know it, you can practice the yoga on your own. Find yourself on holiday, or just can’t get to the class? No problem because you know what to do. Of course people still like coming to the class because the energy of working with others can really get you going. This style of yoga encourages people to become more intuitive to their own body, breathing and even how they are feeling. Over the years, I have seen how people adapt the yoga to make it work for them…their own personal authentic yoga and it looks great. We are all different so why try to make it all look exactly the same? Breathe and move and take ownership of the routine. You will feel its effects and over the weeks and months see for yourself how it enriches your life.
Jane is well known for enjoyable classes with an expert blend of challenge and ease. Sensitive to the needs of each
individual student, she is highly skilled in providing classes that suit beginners and very experienced yoga practitioners in the same space. Her classes are full of warmth and humour as well as expert teaching. Styles include: Hatha, Vibrant Flow, Pregnancy, Postnatal, Baby and Children's Yoga. Classes held in Matlock, Derbyshire and also in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
