I like to create a warm and comfortable environment to practise in. I encourage beginners to come and find out what all the fuss is about. I trust yoga to sell itself.

Yoga is the union of mind, body and spirit.

I am fun and bubbly my two passions in life are yoga and acting so you can only imagine the character that this creates.

Vinyasa is a dynamic and powerful style of yoga, which requires a reasonable amount of fitness, you can gain this fitness through regular practise and slowly increasing the poses you do, the intensity of each poses and the flow speed. Each pose creates a different shape and different depth of stretch and strength depending on the individual. Everyone's body is different and no matter how far you are into a posture you will still be gaining an enormous benefit.

However yoga is a time for onesself, this is your practise and you can do as much or as little your body will allow.

At the end of the class I want my students to feel good, feel like they have done a work out, legnthened out their muscles and strengthened their body. They should feel happy, peaceful and relaxed.

All I ask is that they stay and enjoy the savasana. (Savasana - corpse pose your end of class relaxation - to help optimise all benefits.)

I also teach private one on one classes and semi private classes.

Adam has been practicing yoga since 1999 and has studied with prominent teachers including Jane Kersel, Kate Ellis, Donna Farhi and Jason Crandell. A native of South Florida, Adam spent ten years in New York City, earning a BFA and MA from New York University. Before devoting his creative efforts to yoga, he worked first-hand on the production of a Broadway musical, researched activism in South Africa and facilitated professional, creative, and personal development events and workshops with teenagers, university students, and business professionals in the US, UK and across Europe. Drawing on his diverse background, Adam’s classes are infused with humour, joy, and empowerment and taught in an alignment-based slow flow style, with a focus on balancing strength and flexibility within a solid and sustainable structure. A firm believer in Desikachar's principle that you start yoga where you are and how you are, Graham teaches a relaxed, flowing, gently dynamic style of yoga, with particular emphasis on the use of the breath not just to open up, stretch, tone and relax the body, but also to open up, stretch, tone and relax the mind. Most classes also incorporate pranayama and meditation, which Graham sees as an integral part of yoga practice.

Graham is also an experienced teacher of gentle yoga, for those with more physical challenges or newer to the practice, and has been recognised by the London Evening Standard as a leading teacher of the guided relaxation practice of yoga nidra. He is a keen student of yoga history and philosophy, which he weaves into his teaching, and which he teaches on The Yogacampus Yoga Teacher Training Programme, where he also teaches Sanskrit, meditation and class sequencing.

Graham initially trained as a yoga teacher in Santa Barbara, California in 2000 and has studied intensively in the USA and the UK with many of the west's leading yoga teachers, most notably Richard Freeman, Erich Schiffmann, Shiva Rea and Tias Little, as well as with his current main teacher, Rod Stryker. He has an MA in Indian Religions from London University's School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) where he is now researching for a PhD on the Upanishads.

I am very lucky to have learnt how to practice the Yoga Asanas from Mary Stewart who learnt from Vanda Scaravelli. These two women, prophetic in their field, were inspired to re-interpret, and make contemporary, the teaching they received from Iyengar, Desikachar and Krishnamacharya.

From them I have learnt that gravity is the teacher and guide when you practice.

Force and a sense of fixing or conquering the body are never helpful. They only ever succeed in distancing you from your self, your body and the environment. So when you are in class, or are setting time aside to explore allow a gentle, precise, relaxed, clear, strong and empathetically contagious sense of delighting in movement and rest; in structure and flow; to be the context for your practice. In this way you will learn to release and orient within your body as and towards the ground which under-stands you as well as to stabilise and flow out into the pleasure of space and time and the world with its relationships around you. Movement, posture, gesture and breath are friends that are always with you. If followed and listened to they reveal a way of not efforting and of discovering where the whole system is already trying to go in gravity.
