I am a keen runner originally attracted to yoga for fitness and to improve flexibility. I quickly learned that yoga
can bring equanimity of mind as well as a release for tight hamstrings! I teach a dynamic style of Hatha yoga that is informed, creative and playful. I place a strong emphasis on correct alignment and personal assists to help each student get the most out of each session.
I have been practising yoga since 1998 and qualified with my Yoga Alliance teaching accreditation in early March 2011. My experience spans a broad range of styles and teachers, including Jivamukti, Iyengar, Bikram, Hatha and Vinyasa Flow. My initial teacher training was with Dr Elena Voyce of Teach Yoga Academy and I have studied with leading international teachers including Matthew Sandford, Kate Ellis and Françoise Freedman.
I have also recently undergone a rigorous Birthlight pregnancy teacher training course. I had a home birth in February 2013 by incorporating yoga and hypnobirthing and am excited to share the incredible Birthlight techniques with other expectant mums. I am also in the second trimester of pregnancy with my second child so I am on the journey with my pregnancy yoga students!

New Ashtanga yoga class starting Sunday 3rd June 2010 in the dance studio at the Sports Centre at Roundwood School
AL5 3AE from 9.30-10.30am. Drop-in fee:10.00. This class is for those with some prior yoga experience. It is a dynamic class based on the Ashtanga Primary Series. A beginners Astanga class is planned to start at the same venue from September 2012. Plans to launch a Yin class are also in motion for September 2012.

I have always
felt there was something bigger, more meaningful to explore. I wandered into an Anusara class because it fitted my schedule and it blew me away. Since then I haven't looked back, embracing each new experience open to me and opening myself up to new possibilities.
My life has completely changed since I started on this path and I offer special thanks to every soul who came along just when I needed them. I have completed over 700 hours of training (and counting!) with an incredible array of awe-inspiring teachers: Ross Rayburn, Bridget-Woods Kramer, Jayendra Hanley, Zhenja La Rosa... I've just embarded on my RYT500 advanced teacher training with Chris Chavez. So day is an adventure, to discover and rediscover. Life is a crazy adventure and the excitement is in living it in every moment.
When you walk into my class my intention is to help you see that they are an integral part of this amazing world and a vital piece of something big, extraordinary and amazing, part of something that you never knew existed and yet always knew was there and to make the feel even more you feel you more than you ever knew you could. The goal for these course is to give you tools and understanding on
how to use asanas, pranajama (breathing) and meditation in your daily practice. The class suitable for beginners and current yoga practitioners who wants to have a gentler session, focusing on Meditation and Pranajma. Every class has a slightly different composition and focus, and is a fusion of Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga. By the end of the course you will feel confident enough to start your practice.
