I have been teaching Yoga for 17 years. I trained initially with the Yoga Academy London (200 hours RYS) followed
by advanced Yoga training in Byron bay with Yoga Arts in Australia (RYS 500). I am also a Perinatal yoga teacher, trained with Birthlight and I am also trained in Pilates,Thai yoga massage and Yin yoga.
My teaching style is a mindfulness based practice which focuses on embodiment within the Asana (yoga posture). This grounds and centres the body and cultivates awareness.
In this state, the mind is present and without thought so that it can fully connect to the body and the breath without judgment or expectation. This creates a feeling of spaciousness, freedom and flow and an acceptance of what is. Brilliant training for life! I incorporate many different forms of yoga I have learnt from numerous workshops, trainings, self-practice and enquiry.
She loves to explore the interplay between the mind and body and is constantly expanding her teaching creativity. Her interest in inner awareness led her to train as a consciousness coach.
She currently teaches from her home studio and The Exhibit in Balham.
I have practiced Yoga for many years, and have been passionate about health through Diet and Yoga since I trained
as a Nutritional Therapist 8 years ago. My class is dynamic but is paced well so that all level people feel they are keeping up. I do give Nutrition advice via handouts that I feel are useful, and I am available to anyone who has a nutrition question after class. The Shala was founded by Gingi Lee in 1997, as one of London's first dedicated yoga centres. After 17 years in Clapham,
the Shala has recently expanded and taken over a newly refurbished space in a Victorian warehouse in West Norwood, on the fringes of West Dulwich.

What can you expect??
This dynamic class is open to all levels of practitioners. The asanas will be taught in a flowing Vinyasa style in which we move with the breathe to create internal heat, challenge the body while quieting the mind. Modifications are offered to lessen or intensify the asana practice, enabling students to work at their own pace. Each class will include pranayama, meditation, relaxtion along with the asanas (postures).
Who is the teacher? Erin has been practicing yoga for the last 12 years in the Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow styles of yoga. In 2004 at Discovery Yoga in St. Augustine Florida, she is a 500 hour trained teacher.She has been teaching in different studios as well as privately for the last 5 years. She also teaches yoga to children and attained her Yoga Bugs teaching certification in 2007. She has studied with some of the worlds most renowned teachers including Shiva Rea, Beryl Birch, David Swenson, MatthewSweeney , David Life, John Scott, Richard Freeman,Shri and Stan Hubbard and Manju Jois. She continues her own development of asana, pranayama and meditation daily and continues her studies and practice by attending many workshops and intensive training sessions including a 40 hour teacher?s intensive workshop with Richard Freeman..She teaches a creative and powerful Vinyasa class incorporating pranayama and meditation and is currently teaching in London in several studios as well as businesses, schools, and privately. She holds retreats both in England and internationally.
