Daily classes in Stratford upon Avon and Wellesbourne, workshops, retreats. The style is classical Hatha Yoga, with
attention to alignment, breath and awareness. Open and level 1-2, and intermediate classes draw on the teachings of Ayurveda and the Raja Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Beginners classes give a good grounding in yoga posture practice, breathing practice, and deep relaxation, with a little theory to support understanding of the practices.
My classes explore the relationship between the spine, gravity and the breath. Working to undo tightness and release
tension, the body becomes more fluid. We begin to better understand our body - why it can easily move into one asana but not into another; how our breath can assist in movement. Little by little, the body moves more easily and without restriction.
Classes always begin with a quiet period - a time to begin to leave the 'external me' and start to concentrate on the 'internal me'. After our practice, the class ends with relaxation or meditation.
I am a fully qualified yoga teacher, accredited through the Association of Independent Yoga Practitioners (AIYP). I have been practising yoga for almost 20 years and teaching since January 2011.
Classes: Tues and Wed eves 7.30pm - 9.00pm at Westgate Primary School, Bowling Green Street, Warwick CV34 4DD (entrance through car park to right of school). Parking available. Classes generally run through term time and not through holiday periods.

I am happy to personally tailored sessions to the requirements of the individual or group & can also provide programmes that include nutrition, health, life coaching, exercise, CBT, NLP, mindfulness, co-ordination & confidence building tools. Satyananda Yoga is a form of integral yoga which develops all aspects of one's being including the body, mind, emotions
and psyche, leading the practitioner towards a more balanced and harmonious state. This form of yoga is systematic, progressive and can be practised by anyone regardless of age, culture, religion or ability. Classes include postural work (asana) breathing practices (pranayama) and deep relaxation (yoga nidra). Classes are run typically in blocks of six and cost £48(equivalent £8 per class). They run on Tuesdays at 1PM, 6.15PM and 8PM. On Wednesdays at 1PM, 6.15PM and 8PM and on Fridays at 6.45AM. Classes include stress management, beginners, gentle/chair yoga and continuers yoga.
