I teach Vinyasa yoga but do add elements from lots of different yoga school due to my own experience as a student. We will be hanging out in postures to groovy yogic musical tunes and Sufi Poetry to make your yoga experience more wholesome.
Be prepared to stretch your mind, body and your yoga mat. I have been a student of Yoga for 13 years and have trained with one of the most respected yoga teachers Katy Appleton from Appleyoga. I have attended workshops with Howard Napper, Tiffany Cruikshank, Shiva Rea, Stephanie Snyder, Leila Sadeghee, Gary Carter to name a few.
I am a keen runner originally attracted to yoga for fitness and to improve flexibility. I quickly learned that yoga
can bring equanimity of mind as well as a release for tight hamstrings! I teach a dynamic style of Hatha yoga that is informed, creative and playful. I place a strong emphasis on correct alignment and personal assists to help each student get the most out of each session.
I have been practising yoga since 1998 and qualified with my Yoga Alliance teaching accreditation in early March 2011. My experience spans a broad range of styles and teachers, including Jivamukti, Iyengar, Bikram, Hatha and Vinyasa Flow. My initial teacher training was with Dr Elena Voyce of Teach Yoga Academy and I have studied with leading international teachers including Matthew Sandford, Kate Ellis and Françoise Freedman.
I have also recently undergone a rigorous Birthlight pregnancy teacher training course. I had a home birth in February 2013 by incorporating yoga and hypnobirthing and am excited to share the incredible Birthlight techniques with other expectant mums. I am also in the second trimester of pregnancy with my second child so I am on the journey with my pregnancy yoga students!

New Ashtanga yoga class starting Sunday 3rd June 2010 in the dance studio at the Sports Centre at Roundwood School
AL5 3AE from 9.30-10.30am. Drop-in fee:10.00. This class is for those with some prior yoga experience. It is a dynamic class based on the Ashtanga Primary Series. A beginners Astanga class is planned to start at the same venue from September 2012. Plans to launch a Yin class are also in motion for September 2012.

Baby yoga 5 week courses are run throughout Hertfordshire for parents and babies newborn to crawling. Classes involve
gentle movements for parents encouraging stretching and strengthening (including pelvic floor and stomach exercises) and movements for babies to aid each stage of development with lots of songs and joint relaxation at the end and time to socialise. Yoga in pregnancy courses are from 14 weeks to birth and include birth preparation, gentle stretches, strengthening, breathing exercises and relaxation

Yoga is for everyone regardless of age, gender, shape and size. Men, women, kids, and seniors, mothers-to-be and new
mums will all benefit from regular yoga practice. Your first step onto the yoga mat is the start of an exciting journey to building a solid yoga foundation. The benefits of yoga include greater flexibility, improved strength, reduced stress levels, relief from chronic disease, pain, premature aging, and generally a feeling of enhanced wellbeing. Mats are provided for the first class, although for hygienic reasons we do advise bringing your own mat, along with a towel and wear comfortable clothing to move in. All classes must be pre-booked and fees are payable in advance. Classes are run as a course in blocks of 4, 6 or 8 weeks depending on term times. Although we do offer drop in classes, we advise that you book for a block of classes to allow for a systematic and structured progression through the course, thus obtaining the maximum benefit.
