Deborah is influenced by the elegant and sophisticated alignment principles and heart orientated philosophy of the
Anusara Hatha Yoga system and ‘Hatha Vinyasa Flow’ or ‘Flow Yoga’ A general class would commence with quieting the mind with some breathing techniques to bring us to our centre, gently warming up the body with some stretches. Finding alignment with static postures and then progressing to a more challenging but rewarding flow of asanas (postures) linking with the breath, leaving time at the end for relaxation.
Deep relaxation classes are also available and designed to reduce many symptoms of stress, such as tiredness, anxiety and insomnia. If you would like to de-stress the mind and body and distance yourself from external distractions, these classes are available at scheduled times of the year. No previous experience of yoga is necessary and is beneficial to practice during pregnancy. The practice involves laying down on a mat in a warm environment and listening to simple instructions.

first discovered the true benefits of Yoga whilst volunteering in South Africa and her love for this ancient practice has gone from strength to strength. In 2011, Nicky gave up her office 9-5 and undertook her YTTC 200 hour teacher training in Daramshala, India with Sampoorna Yoga lead by Deepak Sharma a direct disciple of Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati.
Nicky, whilst trained in Ashtanga and Vinyasa flow teaches based on a deeper understanding for the need to build true compassion with one's body and one's self. The aim of yoga is not to compete with yourself and your body to reach the next posture but to truely build a deeper understanding of self and therefore the mind.
Nicky's classes are based on building an environment where people feel comfortable and at ease with their own practice at that given point in time, working intuitively to understand their own alignment and therefore building a strong and safe personal practice.
Nelumbo Yoga was founded by Joelle Pettitt in 2011 and provides Dynamic (vinyasa) Yoga, Power Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga
group classes as well as private one-to-one yoga tuition in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & London.
Joelle’s Yoga classes involve a sequence of postures, focusing on linking breath with movement in a dynamic flow to leave you feeling energised, invigorated and relaxed. Her belief is that yoga is about learning to respect your body whilst daring to push your limits to improve the strength and flexibility of body and mind. She strives to create a practice that is challenging, dynamic, and fun for all degrees of flexibility.
I teach both yoga and Feldenkrais using a mindfulness approach. I am particularly interested in how to improve people's
movement capabilities off the mat and outside of the yoga studio.

I have been involved in the fitness industry for nearly a decade and bring experience in body conditioning & personal training, as well as Yoga.
I am a British of Wheel of Yoga trained teacher.
I try and take an approach to Yoga that lets the students practice grow at the rate that they are comfortable with. My own continuing study of Yoga has, very successfully, taken this approach. Learning from different instructors and allowing one style and method of teaching, to compliment my own also adds variety and furthers experience.

corporate local authorities and schools. I run Retreats in the UK and France. My one to one is tailored to the individuals' health and requirements. I have clients with arthritis, crones, MS and those who have suffered a stroke. Yoga is a personal journey and I respect individual requirements and challenges.
