We are a group of Kundalini Yoga Teachers in and around Manchester dedicated to spreading the teachings of Yogi Bhajan.
Kundalini Yoga is also known as the Yoga of Awareness and is considered the most comprehensive of yoga traditions. It is an ancient form of yoga which is dynamic and transformative. Based in the 84 postures of Hatha, Kundalini yoga brings together postures, breathing , chanting and meditation. Its focus is on self-awareness and delivering an experience of your highest consciousness. The fundamental objective is to awaken the power of the individual to excel - to experience their Infinity and fulfil their personal destiny.
Layo Yoga is a Manchester based yoga company passionate about improving health and wellbeing. Layo Yoga is designed
to be practised by all regardless of age, ability and fitness level. Layo Yoga works holistically creating a healthy body mind and spirit.
Monday: St Werburghs Church Hall ,Chorlton, Manchester M21 0UH 6.00 pm - 7.15 pm Layo Yoga for Back Health Specific postures and sequences are integrated with physiotherapy principles to improve postural alignment, core stability and muscle imbalance to promote a healthy spine. 7.30 pm - 8.45 pm Layo Yoga Rhythms Flow Fusing elements of yoga and dance to blissful musical beats. Movement is synchronised with breath within flowing sequences and classic postures to bring calm, joy, strength and flexibility to the body.
Wednesday: Riverside Training Studio, Compstall, Stockport, SK6 5HN. 7.00 - 8.30pm Classic Layo Yoga Directed breathing and visualisations are used with graceful energy releasing sequences and dynamic flowing postures to relax, restore and rejuvinate the body. How can one dare and risk being foolish to have faith in something of
spirit? What is to be voiced? Danced? Sung? Created as an offering, an emptying, so the current keeps on rolling Being brave enough to say: “here I am. Thank you.” Laying it down at the world's feet with a playfulness and mischief-making. What interests us? Do we wish to explore? Where are we pulled: from our heart, our head, or our gut instincts? Follow the threads. Expose ourselves over and over again How can we involve others so we create worlds together? How can we move folk, to remember that which binds us all together? How can we illicit a ‘wow’ from our own delighted soul? let me be your guide. My intention is to serve the creative spirit, to honour the soul, and to stand in life saying a huge hearty 'YES!' to what pulls on the ole heartstrings, and to say a firm finger wragging 'NO!' to all that squashes us way down smaller than who we were created to be. We are all unique. We are all gifted with such light to offer the world. We do not have to be crafting grand symphonies, or winning international prizes of recognition, or become a name gracing the cover of dubious 'celebrity' magazines. No no no my dears! But we are all artists. How we live our life is the most priceless and precious task we could be graced with. Let me guide you to make art of your life, to turn your heart stories into visions, songs, or dances. Let me take your hand as you waltz me through the beauty and bright, sorrows and scars, and lets call it, ART!
Learn a new sequence every 8 weeks and whatch your practise develop. Traditional sun salutation taught to increase
flexibility. Focus on the breath to give greater concentration and awareness. All classes are small give you the opportunity to modify the sequence to suit your body. Practise sheets given to enable you to practise at home. Beginners class in Prestwich. Energise your body, relax your mind.
I offer a variety of Yoga (including Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga and Hatha Yoga), Pre and Post Natal Classes with Baby,
Meditation and Pranyama (Breath Practices) AND Pilates classes AND HIIT cardio in and around Manchester, Eccles and Monton. All classes are drop in (from £6 per class)and are suitable for all levels. There is a safe, enjoyable and warm energy in all classes.
