i-Yoga* is the pioneer integrated program that combines energy-cultivation breathwork, affirmative-visualization exercises,
and relaxation techniques alongside the yoga postures for a very low-impact but highly-intense approach. It is beginner-friendly, instructor-guided, science-based and student/goal-oriented, so anyone anywhere anyhow can begin, notwithstanding age, fitness level, preoccupation or religious orientation (so you don't have to worry about being flexible, athletic, vegetarian or acrobatic), and you experience changes--curbing your current health problems and realizing your beauty, fitness, and wellness aims in a few sessions. You may take it per-session or enroll into the full-program, as suits you, and may attend at our current venues or set-up your own convenient group at home or at the office. You would think that because yoga has particular poses and needs a lot of discipline and balance, kids wouldn’t be
all that interested in making the effort it takes to do them properly. But one of the best things about yoga is that it teaches its participants that there are 6 billion different bodies on the planet and that because of all their special differences, absolutely no one can perform the same pose in the identical way another can.
Yoga for kids is like playtime with a gentle purpose -- to help kids find balance in their lives, especially with the stress and pressure of competition that they face today more than in any other era. With yoga, they have an outlet to achieve challenges and still be able to reward themselves with relaxation and fun visualizations. Though they're much smaller than we are and are already quite flexible to begin with, many of the benefits children get out of yoga are the same as for adults. On the physical side, yoga strengthens the muscles, keeps the spine mobile and flexible, increases their balance and coordination, teaches them to concentrate, which is great for children who are hyperactive, and develops and encourages healthy breathing techniques. Proper breathing skills when learned at a younger age are developed more quickly, are incorporated into a regular habit much more effectively. The diaphragmatic breathing you're trying to learn how to do now is something your kids could be using to their advantage all throughout their most important growth years.
