Quinta da Calma is the Integral Yoga Teacher Training Centre for Europe, in association with the Satchidananda Ashram
of Virginia, USA. It is also the base for The School of Life, a Centre for holistic healing, learning and spiritual growth, open to and embracing the essence of all traditions and teachings, but attached to none. The School of Life was founded on Integral Yoga's philosopy of a love for nature, natural foods and healing and the firm belief that it is the birthright of each individual to be healthy, joyful and peaceful. With this vision in mind, we offer teacher training programmes and a variety of all-level Integral Yoga Hatha classes, breathing practices, Kirtan and meditation, plus regular workshops and seminars in yoga philosophy. The Centre also offers healing treatments, training programmes and relaxing get-aways. Our natural, holistic approach is based on the understanding that we are made up not only of mind and body, but also of spirit.

Rachel Lovegrove uses her 20 years of Iyengar yoga
experience and skills as a teacher to provide courses to suit all levels of abilities. She has been hosting retreats since 2003 and teaching since 1998. Her students and guests return year after year to learn in a beautiful environment with a dedicated teacher. Her passion and enthusiasm for the practice of yoga and the life-enhancing benefits it gives us is what drives her to share with others.
She works with individuals from all walks of life at all levels of fitness and health: everyone from sports professionals to those recovering from illness or suffering from stress or depression or simply students wanting to bring a regular practice of yoga into their lives. Her dedication and devotion to helping her students through yoga is at the core of her work.
