From many years studying yoga philosophy and alternative medicine we believe that a lot of the stress and struggle's we find ourselves in today can be eased by making more wholesome and holistic choices in food, exercise, thoughts and activities. By considering our own wellbeing, be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual we find improved sleep, strengthened physical and mental stamina. We find the ability to take control of our emotions and listen to our inner being, act on it and make the changes we need to see the improvements we want.
At Starflower Yoga we have discovered that we can all do this and there are a number of tools we have found that facilitate well-being and we would like to share with you, they include:
1. Hatha Yoga gentle asana, pranayama, mudra and banda’s, for all levels in groups or one to one private tuition. 2. Meditation based on Theravada Buddhism where we discuss dharma in free informal groups. 3. Ayurveda where dosha's determine body type and lifestyle recommendations made to encourage individual natural vitality. 4. Reiki resonating energy at a higher vibration that is tapped into to realign our Chakra's. 5. Conscientious absorption, where we look at what we allow into our being that affects our energy including what we watch, read and listen to and consider it as healthy or unhealthy food for the mind.
