I am a certified Kripalu yoga teacher. Through the breath work (pranayama) I teach students to breath with their entire body. A full yogic breath (Dirgha) brings energy (prana) into every cell in the body -breathing in fresh cool air and exhaling warm stale air, toxins and anxieties. After the breath work - great emphasis is placed on stretching. You actually leave my class one inch taller. We then practice the postures of yoga (asanas) and class ends with a wonderful guided relaxation (shavasana). Hot stones are placed on your palms and third eye and you are covered with a warm blanket. Shavasana is a very important part of yoga - all the breath work, stretching and postures are integrated while you relax and restore. “The difference between yoga and exercise is that exercise has a goal and yoga is a journey.” Come to my studio to experience yoga. All you need to bring is yourself and a desire to be restored, rejuvenated and relaxed.
