Welcome. Although seldom discussed, Hatha Yoga poses were developed by men for men. When a woman practices traditional Yoga poses, differences in female anatomy affect everything from knee placement to pelvic positioning to the angle of her elbow joints and the curve of her low back. These differences make a woman more susceptible to injury. Beyond the idea of "right" and "wrong", discover your own "female friendly" way to care for yourself with Yoga. Adrienne guides women of all ages, shapes, sizes and health conditions to avoid injury, alleviate pain and embrace the possibility of healing while feeling strong, graceful and calm. Move beyond stress and awaken to the stillness and sacred mystery that underlies all of life. Adrienne is an anatomy instructor, yoga teacher trainer and exercise physiologist who has spent 20 years researching how gender differences affect women practicing yoga. Adrienne completed advanced study in yoga therapy for women at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, India; is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, is a certified Professional Level Yoga Teacher in the Kripalu tradition; and, is nationally registered by Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Yoga Teacher Trainer (eRYT500). Adrienne offers private yoga sessions in New York City, Wellness Coaching via telephone
