Yoga available to all for the purpose of physical, mental, and spiritual development. The practice of yoga brings with it a vast array of physical and psychological benefits. Although yoga is not religion based, it is a spiritual practice. It becomes an opportunity to open to the goodness that is within and all around us.
Both hatha and raja yoga are taught in each class. The hatha yoga includes instruction in asanas (postures), focusing on strength and flexibility, along with breathing and relaxation techniques. The raja yoga consists of instruction in a wide variety of techniques in meditation, concentration, and relaxation.
Yoga can complement or supplement any activity or exercise you currently do. Much of the work, play, and exercise we do every day leaves our muscles tight, our joints stiff, and our minds stressed. We invite you to take part in a practice that will develop your body, your breath, and your mind, and cultivate a sense of well-being and peace.
