IYI offers basic, intermediate and advanced yoga classes. |
IYI Philippines’ yoga office is located in Citiland Buendia Ave., Makati City, Metro Manila.
One session consists of one hour and 15 minutes of breathing exercises, warm-up, postures and relaxation. Cleansing techniques, meditation, visualization and the like, are also part of the yoga syllabus. Private classes are also offered, depending on the availability and schedule of our teachers.
IYI aims to be a competitive, top yoga school for the Filipino people, offering only the best of yoga instruction. The institute strives to adapt to the varying and increasing needs of people, through its dynamism in system, teachers and syllabus.
All the instructors follow the Yamas and Niyamas of the Ashtanga yoga system (non-violence, truthfulness, sexual morality, respect for others’ property, simplicity; purity, contentment, austerity, study of the self and surrendering one’s life to God). In addition to postures, they can teach the inner, complete disciplines of yoga to their students. In other words, IYI teachers are real, live yogis that incorporate into their lives the complete yoga culture. Hence, you will also find at IYI:
1. Vedanta Philosophy
2. Ancient Yoga Culture (bhakti yoga, mantra meditation, traditional Vedic music & singing)
3. Comprehensive Yoga System which includes Ethics & Philosophy
4. Alternative Yoga Lifestyle of Goodness -- sattva guna
5. Healthy Vegetarian Diet & Cuisine
IYI also provides yoga services for corporations and businesses, with seminar-workshops on stress management through yoga, health and diet, vegetarianism and spirituality. The institute also offers teacher’s certification courses.
