The Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center is a non-profit organization. Swami Vishnudevananda, the Center's founder, synthesized the ancient wisdom of Yoga into five basic principles that can easily be incorporated into modern lifestyles to provide the foundation for healthy living: 1. Proper exercise (asanas) 2. Proper breathing (pranayama) 3. Proper relaxation (savasana) 4. Proper diet (vegetarian) 5. Positive thinking and meditation (Vedanta and dhyana). We offer opportunities for practice of all these points at the Center. Satsang, meditation courses, and positive thinking courses take place at 1246 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. Yoga asana classes are held at our teaching annex at 1207 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. Your first class is free!
