whYoga was established in 1999 by Vicky Oliver RYT500. whYoga conducts general and pregnancy classes in South London and teacher training in Surrey. Vicky Oliver is registered with The Yoga Alliance, a non-profit organisation that is dedicated to high educational standards in yoga worldwide. Vicky is registered as a teacher with over 500 hours training experience (RYT500). Vicky is also a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals at an advanced level (REP's 3). Vicky is the author and conductor of two comprehensive training courses that have undergone years of extensive development and study. Yoga Bananas is a labour of love - a child yoga teacher training that was founded by Vicky 'Skip' Oliver in 1998. It focuses on how to teach yoga to children of a primary school age. Its approach is fun whilst incorporating all the elements of Hatha Yoga. This course is open to yoga teachers and yoga students with a solid yoga practice including Mums who may like to introduce yoga to their own children and school teachers who may like to introduce yoga into the school day. A maximum of 4 people are permitted on each course. The course is a practical working weekend retreat that culminates in a full day of teaching in a primary school. Earn Yoga Alliance 'Continuing Education Units' with this course. whYoga for Pregnancy is a course that is open to yoga teachers and yoga students with a solid practice including Mums-to-be. The course explores the nature of a forgotten birth physiology that is simple and empowering. The course covers all three trimesters of pregnancy and also the post-partum phase. Earn Yoga Alliance 'Continuing Education Units' with this course.whYoga's training programme for yoga teachers covers pre- and post-natal care, Vicky is a doula, mother of 3 and active birth consultant. whYoga's sister partnership training programme also covers children's yoga under the auspice of Yoga Bananas.
