Kalavathi trained at ICYER, Ananda Ashram, Swami Gitanandas Gurukula in Pondicherry, South India in 1999. Since then she has lived and taught Gitananda Yoga in wales and worldwide. Kalavathi has taught and given demonstrations at the 2005 and 2006 'Yoga Show' at Olympia in London. She is also the director of the Gitananda Yoga Society for the UK. Kalavathi runs classes in Cardiff (Chapter Arts Centre on weds 7-9pm), Pontypridd (St Davids Uniting Church on tues 7-8.30pm) and has various other classes and courses in and around Cardiff and the valleys which run throughout the year - please contact her for more details. She takes classes for Pregnancy, Special needs, Children and gives 1 to 1 tuition where Yoga can be designed for the individual. Kalavathi is one of the Senior Gitananda Yoga teachers and teaches authentically in the style of Swami Gitananda as was taught her. This closely follows the teaching od Patanjali. She can teach all aspects of Yoga but concentrates on Asana, Kriyas, Pranayama, Mantra and relaxation for the basic classes. Kalavathi runs a yearly course which covers the whole spectrum of Yoga - this is done in conjunction with Swami Gitanandas Ashram in India.
