Power of Love Temple is unconventional in design and purpose. The yogic design includes the 27 sided circular temple in the form of a shiva lingam and yoni and it's very essence shows a harmony between male and female energy. Entering it is like re-entering the womb. The external structure has a 10 foot dome, wood shake shingles, 15 skylights, 11 windows and 12 recessed sculpture alcoves with bas relief goddess sculptures. Images of the 12 jyotirlinga are on the skylights. Never has a temple been created like this. The emphasis is on each individual experiencing their relationship with God, not on group activities and socialization. The ascoustics are fantastic and we have satsangas with kirtan every new and full moon with occasional special guests. It is private just as our relationship to God is private, yet open to all adults and meditators as long as there is reverence and respect for the property. There is no organization, no dogma, no special dress codes, and no restrictions for moon cycles. Donations are accepted. All labor was/is donated. Leela Bruner, sculptor, is the yogic daughter of Swami Kripalvanandaji (Kripalu). She is architect, structural engineer, contractor, carpenter, sculptor, and clean up goddess. By meditating and kirtan the vibrations of the temple are kept pure and alive. Come join us.
