Simone Heurich has been finding balance and discovering the peace and joy within, through yoga for over 35 years. She has studied with teachers from a variety of traditions and has several teaching certifications. Among them, she is certified in the Anusara style of Hatha Yoga, originated by John Friend, her most influential teacher. She is also certified in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. and is a 500 hour Registered Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. Her approach focuses on creating optimal alignment, increasing strength and flexibility, as well as celebrating the wholeness and interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit. Through encouraging self awareness and self acceptance she empowers students to reconnect with their own joy and inner peace. Students come to celebrate themselves fully in the moment, to reclaim a more vibrant body, a more peaceful mind and a more joyful heart. Simone is the director of Flowering Heart Yoga. She offers a variety of levels of classes, both day and evening in Smithsburg and Hagerstown Maryland. She also offers workshops in yoga and health and lifestyle related topics and local as well as international retreats that combine yoga, nature and culture. Individual and group lessons are also available by appointment.
