The Lafayette Center for Yoga is the only location in Lafayette dedicated exclusively to the practice of Hatha Yoga, where beginning students, experienced practitioners and even teachers will flourish. Scheduled classes are offered at consistent times of day, covering a range of practices from gentle Yin and Slow Flow to higher cardio Ashtanga and Vinyasa practices. These along with Private Yoga Therapy classes are designed to meet the health needs of each individual. Lydia, ERYT and Michael, RYT are Registered Teachers with Yoga Alliance and established the center in 2006. This spacious studio is located in Lafayette Louisiana's Historic Downtown District, in the heart of Acadiana. They offer private and group yoga classes, Yoga Alliance registered Teacher Training and Workshops. They bring a unique approach to teaching and practicing Yoga to Acadiana. Learn practical life skills to reduce stress and physical tension while calming the mind, and aligning the heart, body and spirit. We invite you to explore a deeper understanding of what makes you feel most alive. Learn The Way of Yoga including, awareness of breath and posture, hands-on physical adjustments and benefits of the poses. Find your personal edge (neither forcing nor holding back) and then learn to relax and soften around your edge. The Lafayette Center for Yoga Studio facility is available to rent for conferences, workshops, and other special events.The newly remodeled facility offers a spacious foyer with seating and cubbies, a 1200 sq. ft. wood floor yoga room, all with airy 16 ft. ceilings. The new dressing room with private water closets, lavatories, additional cubbies, and seating with top of the line fixtures is perfect for any event.
