The Spirit of Yoga is an afternoon workshop led by Dr Ram Nutakki on Sunday 1st June, held in St Mary's Church Garden Hall in the heart of Wimbledon Village. The workshop is from 1pm-5pm and there will two asana sessions in the workshop, when we will learn many of the classical yoga postures. Integration of the breath with the posture, which is vital to getting the full benefits of each posture, will be explained. There will also a discussion of yoga philosophy and how the timeless principles and wisdom of the yoga sages can be applied to modern life. Finally we will bring together everything and discuss how to apply the principles and techniques taught in the workshop to manage stress and to enhance the quality of our daily lives.
