RYT 500 qualified. Private students, regular led classes & workshops. Asthanga Vinyasa Yoga, meditation, yoga programs for Teens, restorative yoga. I teach yoga as a dynamic, moving meditation and as a foundational practice for spiritual growth and transformation.
I have been practising various forms of yoga since 1997, most notably Vinyasa, Jivamukti, Sivananda und Bikram yoga. Initially I was looking for pain relief to do with a broken vertebra in my lumbar spine (a birth condition). In 2005 I discovered Ashtanga yoga and fell in love with it instantly. It has become my primary practice with profound effects on my life both physically and spiritually.
Being mum of a beautiful son and having wonderful kids of all ages close around me, I naturally have an interest in sharing my passion with them. I enjoy piquing their interest by creating unique classes that foster connection and an alive dialogue about yoga. Especially the teenage years are dear to my heart as yoga can be such an invaluable tool for finding balance in this time of transitions.
In all my classes I focus on breath, alignment and maintaining a steady flow to build strength, stamina and flexibility in the body and well-being in the mind. I give precise, supportive adjustments to encourage more depth in the asanas. I teach students with sensitivity to their bodies and support for their individual growth and development. I encourage my students to look for the enjoyment of what they do, and in particular in the teen classes humor doesn’t fall short.
As well as teaching yoga I facilitate courses and groups for the community organisation Lucid Living (www.lucid-living.org).
