Gloria Mccartney (Radha), was trained to teach Yoga, the world's oldest complete system of personal developement by Swami Vishnu Devananda of India. She completed the Teacher's Training Course at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy, Nassau Bahamas, March 8, 1977 and was certified as Yoga Siromani. On April 12, 1978 she completed the Advanced Teacher's Training Course with the title of Yoga Acharya (Master of Yoga). This classical pure yoga adheres to the classes taught at all of the International Sivananda Yoga Centers and Ashrams worldwide. The classes include proper exercise, proper relaxation, proper breathing, natural diet and a positive mental attitude as the five points to a healthy life. A spiritual and spirited taacher (Radha) prepares her students by using ancient disciplenes of meditation and calisthenics. Deep-breathing exercises, inverted postures from beginner's to advanced, stretching and a delicious final relaxation to center one for the tasks ahead-!!all packed into the best 90 minutes of one's day. Since completing The Teacher's Training Course in March 1977 and the Advanced Course in 1978, Radha has been seasonal staff and teacher not only in the Bahamas, but also at the Sivananda Yoga Camps in the Laurentain Mountains of Quebec, the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers of Montreal, New York, Chicago and the Yoga Ranch in the Catskill Mountains, upstate New York.Open Class-all levels-Saturday-10:00am-January Special 5 classes $65-Drop-in Fee $20.
