The strength and effectiveness of Evolutionary Yoga lies in its ability to create a yoga practice that is appropriate and beneficial, based on the needs and desires of each person, no matter what their skill level. Serving a diverse range of people, Evolutionary Yoga guides each person in developing a practice that is relevant to his or her own body-mind and life experience. Most importantly, Evolutionary Yoga teaches you to work with yourself by being responsive to the signals of your body in the present. Some of the various modalities or approaches used are: Yoga Therapy, Restorative Yoga, Posture Flow, Breathing and Sounding, Feldenkrais, Spontaneous Yoga, and Meditation: Moving and Still. Many of these modalities overlap and are integral to each other. A special emphasis is given to learning through Private Lessons, which is the ancient tradition of learning yoga.
