Therapeutic Sequence and Stick-Figure Drawing workshop explores the art of sequencing that enhances healing and addresses the prevention of injury. With yoga more widespread than ever it is unfortunate that it has been associated with increased incident of injury from its practice. The principals revealed in this workshop will focus on these concerns directly by giving yoga practitioners, both teachers and students alike, the tools necessary to adapt their practice as healing art. Stick-figure drawing is an added component of this workshop. The drawing of stick-figures gives a memory perception of the body?s movement that allows the practitioner to design a therapeutically sound practice. These techniques can be applied to any yoga style. This is a 5 hour yoga alliance approved course, certificates available upon request. Workshop Date: Saturday 7/11/09 Location: Diana?s School of Yoga Address: 925 W Pioneer Pkwy Ste K Grand Prairie, TX 75051 Itinerary 1:00 p.m. ? 3:30 p.m. Therapeutic sequencing study, with yoga practice. 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Stick figure drawing 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Break - light refreshments provided. 5:00 p.m. 6:30 p.m. Workshop Practicum. Each participant will demonstrate a working knowledge of lecture content by designing a functioning therapeutic yoga sequence with the aid of stick figures drawings. Cost $100.00 for entire workshop Early registration before 6/26/09 cost $80.00 Workbook included Participants of this workshop may attend any class held at the studio on this same Saturday free of charge.
