SASY offers public and private yoga instruction in the tradition of BKS Iyengar. Classical yoga asana, pranayama, and philosophy are taught as means for developing strength, stability, balance, and integrity in action. The practice aims the student towards physical health, mental clarity, and a refined sense of self-awareness. The studio is light, clean and well equipped with props including a rope wall, a trestler, chairs, blankets, mats and an assortment of custom wooden props. These props and others may be used to modify poses so that students can safely experience the full range of postures regardless of age or experience level.
