About the Teacher:
Cat McMahon, CYT & RYT 500, Advanced Relax and Renew Trainer and has completed Reiki I training. She has been practicing Iyengar Yoga for 17 years and has taught Yoga for 13 years with over 2,750 hours teaching. Cat has Yoga training with senior level teachers Judith Hanson Lasater, Aadil Palkhivala, Doug Keller, Angela Farmer & Victor Van Kooten, Dean Learner, Norman & Laura Allard, George Purvis, and Laurie Blakeney.
Her dedicated yoga practice has fostered an investigation into Yoga’s sister science of Ayurvedic Medicine which is an invaluable tool within the realm of Holistic Medicine. With humor and attention to detail, Cat provides a fun and challenging class.
General Yoga Information:
Yoga has the ability to tone and strengthen muscles. With regular practice, yoga can realign muscles and bones so that the body can function efficiently with a greater range of motion and comfort. Through breathing exercises the nervous system is naturally calmed as well as the mind. Balance, poise and equanimity can be achieved through this 5,000 year old discipline.
