Dedicated to sharing the powerfully transformative science of the Ashtanga-Vinyasa Method with my students, I see yoga as a tool to open the heart and sharpen the mind. Emphasis is placed on cultivating tristhana, the yoga principle that combines the three areas of action and attention: posture, Ujjayi breathing and drishti, or looking place. Students work to bring the three areas of tristhana into balance. Learning to control the breath calms the mind and presents an opportunity to develop a personal connection to each asana.
