I teach Asthanga Yoga. This branch of Yoga uses physical poses or Asana, Breathing Techniques or Pranayama, and Meditation to acheive physical and mental balance as well as spirituality. I usually start a yoga session by introducing a simple theme based on the philosophy of yoga and Om chanting. We then do some gentle stretching to warm up. After that I demonstrate each posture and talk students through it. I finish with a breathing and relaxation session. With more experienced students I often incorporate some meditation techniques.
