From a young age Iyala found her love of nature, art, singing and movement. The same year she prepared for her graduation from School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Fine Arts, Iyala also completed her Yoga teaching Training Program at Jivamukti Yoga in 1999. She began teaching Yoga that year along with traversing the world including Asia, Central America, Indonesia, and then settling in Hawaii. Back in her native New York, she teaches yoga and composes her original songs.
