Ha (sun) tha (moon) encourages a balanced practice of challenging poses (sun) along with relaxing (moon), and integrated poses. Ultimately, classes with JoElla encourage a grounded but radiant approach to breath, BEing and cultivating one's own sense of presence. JoElla draws on a variety of disciplines in her Vinyasa classes and encourages individuals to practice at their own level. Modifications and variations are encouraged and, because the emphasis is on the breath, expect long holds and slow flow to develop your own sense of inner space, strength, balance, and vibrancy. |
JoElla also teaches Kundalini Yoga which is a powerful practice that incorporates breath, movement, sound and meditation in order to relax and heal the body/ mind/spirit connection. Although all yoga actually works with the coiled energy at the base of the spine, this incredible form of Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is designed to safely encourage the upward moving energy through out the energy centers, and encourages an often euphoric, elevated state.
Kundalini yoga centers the mind and frees the spirit. And, by stimulating the body's natural functions, Kundalini Yoga naturally reduces stress and helps heal addiction, depression and any number of health concerns.
