My classes are reflective in nature and emphasize listening to the body, deepening your relationship with your Self and using Hatha Yoga as a preparation for entering a deeper state of awareness within.
My goal as a teacher is to share the abundance, freedom, and healing that can come from yoga.
Gentle Hatha Yoga: In a safe and nurturing atmosphere, this class will teach the fundamentals of yoga. Students will improve their basic posture, develop alignment, and create mobility in the joints, leaving class with a new found awareness of the body and a deep sense of relaxation. This class is suitable for any level of flexibility or fitness.
Intermediate/Advanced Yoga: Recommended for students who have familiarity with sun salutations and basic standing postures. Emphasis on movement and breath awareness into asana (posture) flow; continuous movement between postures. A practice that challenges, stretches, and strengthens the body in order to relax and refresh the mind.
Children's Yoga: Children from ages 4 - 12 will learn basic yoga postures, breathing, and guided relaxation. Your child will feel comfortable in the easy, natural and non-competitive atmosphere.
