Ashtanga & Hatha Yoga at the YOGASHALA Ayurvedic cooking/(Keralan/Indian cooking), Chavutti Thirummal Massage training Inspiring Yoga classes are every day twice: morning 7.00 am and afternoon 4.00 pm(90 min each session) at the Yogashala, roof top of Pink Flower Guest house, in a lush quiet space, 2 minutes walk, from Light House Beach, Kovalam, Trivandrum (www.yogashala.in) Padma’s Yoga is a fusion of three different schools - gentle Sivananda, precise Iyengar and energetic Ashtanga. As a result her classes are free from a fixed pattern and over time you practice a huge array of poses. . With the wide repertoire of approaches, Padma's teaching takes into consideration that each individual is different. Every class has a different energy as she tailors it suit her students' needs. Padma also offers work shops in Traditional/Ayurvedic cooking class/Course and runs 2-3 weeks training in Chavutti Thirummal Massage. Classes are mainly led by Yoga Acharya Padma Nair who has been teaching Yoga for the past 20 years in the Yoga studios world wide. She has Masters from the University of Kerala, in Indian Philosophy. Also studied Sanskrit and the Scriptures: Being an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Teacher, She has thorough knowledge in human anatomy and physiology. A native Keralan, who has lived in London, she has undergone many trainings/workshops in Yoga and Ayurveda internationally. Padma first trained for Hatha Yoga in 1980, qualified as a teacher with Sivananda’s Yoga Acharya in 1997, Yoga Siromani in 2001. Since then Padma studied with many International Ashtanga and Iyengar teachers in India, England and Sri Lanka. Padma also works at Ulpotha yoga retreat, Srilanka during summer season.
