A student of yoga since 1998 (initially at the NYC Jivamukti and Sivananda centers), Tina has been teaching since 2000. A direct student of Ashtanga Yoga's founder Shri K. Pattabhi Jois between 2002 and 2007, she has been blessed with a decade of practice under the guidance of two amazing teachers: Richard Freeman and Eddie Stern. Formal teaching certification came from Iyengar-inspired Yoga Union (2005). Tina has retreated, workshopped, meditated, chanted and practiced with some of the West's most formidable and knowledgable yogis, kirtan wallahs, bhaktas, tantrics, environmentalists, Buddhist, Sanskrit & Zen scholars. Tina recently moved back to her beloved Greece, after sixteen years in London & New York City, and is excited to help the Athenian yoga sangha blossom. A founding member of YogastoAlsos, a collective offering free classes in pulic spaces across Athens, she believes yoga is for every body: there is no prerequisite to be flexible or strong, fit or young to benefit from the practice. We start where we are, every day.
