Center for Pain and Supportive Care aspires to provide a whole-person approach to chronic and cancer related pain. Yoga is an avenue anyone can take to find physical, social and emotional healing and is an imparative part of the treatment of pain. We offer gentle, slow, safe classes for those with limited mobility who want to transition back into life. Even if you can't move to the ground, there are options in our chair classes! Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy: Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is a one-on-one session that combines classic yoga techniques with body-mind psychology. Therapeutic dialogue along with focused breathing and assisted yoga postures is used to coach an inner awareness that can result in the release of old undigested incidents, traumas, personal beliefs, and out-of-date habits and patterns. Call or email to schedule an appointment. Group Classes: No matter age, weight, or state of health, the gentle stretching, balancing practice and toning exercises of yoga can increase daily physical and emotional functionality for anyone willing to learn. We have a range of classes starting with Chair Yoga for those with less mobility; Gentle Yoga for relaxation, long stretches and restoration; Yoga Blend for beginners wanting to learn and enjoy flow, balance, and gentle postures; Hot Yoga for strength and detoxification; and Flow Yoga to build stamina, find mental and physical balance, and energize body systems. Please visit our website or call for class schedule and further information.
