I offer private yoga lessons in the home.
MerryCat Yoga is dedicated to bringing yoga to special populations, including seniors, people with disabilities, military personnel, cancer patients and survivors, patients undergoing rehabilitation for illness or trauma, special needs children, and anyone who cannot or is not comfortable attending a regular yoga class.
I can accommodate a wide variety of personal needs and preferences, tailored to blend seamlessly with the treatment modalities and goals of the student and facility. If you desire private lessons for your yoga practice, I will design a highly individualized program that integrates your current capabilities and goals with long-term health and wellness concerns. I teach vinyasa, power, hatha, gentle, senior, and restorative yoga styles, along with sessions focusing primarily on relaxation and stress release.
This practice is built on a three-pillar foundation of strength, balance, and flexibility. With an extensive background in both dance and fitness (see About Me page), I am able to offer a unique program that appeals to mind, heart, and body. I strive to provide lessons that help each student to develop a mat practice that is mentally stimulating, emotionally satisfying, and physically challenging. I am proud to be both a military family member and part of the military community in the Fort Hood, TX area. I am committed to providing support to members of the military and their family. My goal is to offer each student a safe and non-competitive environment within which they can enjoy the physical and mental benefits of a yoga practice. MerryCat Yoga was borne of love, and ultimately, love is what I teach.
