Ahimsa Vinyasa Yoga currently being taught at Island Yoga in Alameda.
Cristin developed 'ahimsa yoga' because she believes so deeply in the fusion of yoga and compassion which she incorporates at every level of her practice and teachings. She wants to be part of global change by helping others develop their coping skills so that we, as a community, operate from a place of compassion, kindness, and peace. The capacity to engage with, and embrace, the world with love starts from within. Cristin hopes to help develop that capacity in each person whose mat she is blessed to come in contact with.
All-Levels Ahimsa Vinyasa Yoga is a vinyasa flow yoga steeped in compassion and kindness while encouraging individuals to safely challenge themselves within their comfort zone. Classes are set to music and a warm environment while modifications are taught for each asana. Beginners through advanced yogis all benefit while practicing side by side, inspiring and sharing the energy and wisdom of each other.
