Sharanagati Yogahaus is located in a very quiet part of Varkala beach. Surounded by mangotrees, papaja- and bananatrees you can find peace at many cozy corners in our spacious garden. Relax in the hammocks, or our teahouse. Practice yoga and meditation or just BE. Frequently we have eagles and sea eagles landing and walking on our property. Come and enjoy.
Our rooms are individually decorated as spars as possible - the best atmosphere to find clarity.
Daily routine at the Sharanagati Yogahaus: 7:00 am Pranayama (optional) 7:30 am Vipassana meditation (optional) 8:00 am Asana class (2hours) 10:00 am Morning tea with breakfast 1:00 pm Kerala style lunch (sattvic) 4:00 pm Asana class (1.5 hours)
Sharanagati Yogahaus is authentic and like a little ‘ashram’, with a little bit more relaxed rules (no nicotin, alcohol, TV, mobiles, computers, stereos).
Owner and teacher is Hari, who studied and lived in the Sivananda Ashrams in California, Canada and India. He was ordained as an Anagarika in the Abhayagiri monastery, where he lived and meditated for one year in the forest. His teachings clearly reflect his background in Buddhist meditation. He brings awareness and calmness to his yoga class. Take a break and come to enjoy yoga with us!
Love and Light, inhale and exhale and please mind the gap.
