TreeHouse Yoga Center opened in 1991. The Center now includes two yoga teaching spaces, a room for yoga therapy and healing, and a beautiful garden. The purpose of the TreeHouse is to provide a place of peace and serenity, where people can come to learn yoga, meditate, grow, heal, and step away from busy lives into a tranquil, nurturing environment. In conjunction with the TreeHouse Yoga Center, the Florida Institute for Integrated Yoga Studies offers a two-year yoga teacher training and certification program. The 250-hour program, and an advanced 500-hour program, is taught on weekends and includes asanas, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy and ethics, anatomy, apprenticeship, practice teaching, and personal growth.
