Lara Catone

As a yoga teacher and sexual wellness educator with extensive experience in women’s health, Lara offers a full spectrum approach to health, wellness and happiness.

She began her formal yoga and meditation practice over 12 years ago and became certified as a vinyasa flow teacher in 2006. In 2007 Lara became certified as an AcroYoga teacher, a partner-based practice that blends yoga, Thai massage and acrobatics. Lara has studied with many gifted teachers and her primary influences are Shiva Rea, Sianna Sherman and founders of AcroYoga, Jenny Sauer-Klein and Jason Nemer. Lara has had the honor to teach a diverse group of students throughout the United States and Europe.

On September 18, 2011, Lara Catone will hold a women's retreat in Topanga Canyon, with Eva Dalak, "Surrender to the Spirit Within."

Nourish mind, body and soul in the peaceful mountains of Topanga for a full day of discovering and honoring the feminine embodiment. Moving from a map of the seven chakras Lara and Eva will guide us through practical ways to cultivate our energy and connect to each aspect within–grounding, creating, manifesting, loving, expressing, seeing and trusting.

Our exploration will include circle ceremony, yoga, qi gong, dance, partner play, visualization, writing and other spontaneous unfoldings.
