We will begin with breath work (pranayama), flow through a gentle warm up, increase strength and warmth with sun salutations, practice a variety of standing, balancing, seated, and twisting poses (asana), ultimately relaxing into savasana (final relaxation and mediation). This practice will enable you to develop strength, balance, endurance, and flexibility, while promoting peace. My Hot Vinyasa class is identical to our vinyasa yoga class, except the room is heated to 90 degrees. The heat helps to eliminate toxins, increases pulse rate and metabolism. This allows our circulatory systems to flow with greater ease, while increasing blood flow to the limbs. The warmth that is created in the muscles allows your body to move more freely from posture to posture. In addition, a body that is warmed up can twist, bend and stretch further, which allows for an internal organ massage. All inner glands, organs, ligaments and muscles will benefit.
